Bid Buddy Instructions on Downloading Flight Attendant Patterns
Select the Bid Month for which you want to process patterns.
Select "Patterns"..."Get and Process Patterns" to bring up the Pattern Acquisition Form as shown below.
Before doing anything else, make sure the Bid Month dates are correct. The dates included are for the pilots and are not correct for the flight attendants. Change the Bid Month Begin and End dates to the correct number. If you change the dates, close the Pattern Acquisition Form, change the bidmoth to another month and then change it back to the correct month. Then re-open the Pattern Acquisition Form. You can also change the month after you process the FA bid packet. If you change the dates in the bid month, but do not change the month and then return to it, the pattern operating days will appear to be incorrect when you select the pattern in the trip list.
Click the link to NWA FA Communication to download patterns
Enter your Access ID and Password and click [Log in]
When the FA Communication Page appears, select your flying position, Bid Month, File format to "Text Only"
Then click [Show Files]. The following page will appear.
Right-Click on the BIDPKT.txt file as shown next.
The following window will open. Navigate to the "C:\BBFA\Patterns" Folder as shown below.
Then Click [Save]
The following window will appear as the pattern is downloaded to your computer. This window will close automatically when downloading is complete.
After the file has downloaded, close your web browser and return to the Bid Buddy Bidmonth Data Form.
Click the [Auto Find Pattern File After Download] button
The box below should fill with the name of the file you downloaded as shown.
Press the [Process Patterns] command button.
BB will then process patterns for that bid month. When pattern processing is complete, the form will close and BB will put the pattern numbers in the trip list on the Flight Calendar Screen, as shown below.
Congratulations!!! You've successfully loaded patterns into Bid Buddy for Flight Attendants.
